Instructor permission to enroll form
Instructors control their classrooms and so can grant permission to students who have not met prerequisites to enroll in their course “by exception.”
These instructor-granted exceptions should be rare and given only after the sophomore registration period has ended. This ensures that our majors are not impeded in pursuit of their degrees by classes filled with exceptions. That date is approximately the middle of April and the middle of November.
Permission to enroll will not be granted if it would cause the class size to exceed room capacity.
