Summer Faculty Fellowship
Academic Year 2023-2024
The Media School Summer Faculty Fellowships are intended to provide support to faculty so that they can devote themselves full-time in the summer months to write and (eventually submit) an application for external funding.

5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2024
Eligibility
All full-time faculty (TT and NTT) in The Media School engaging in research or creative activity who have specifically identified an external opportunity/agency.
Not eligible:
- Visiting and adjunct faculty members
- Post-doctoral research associates
Application requirements (five-page maximum)
- Purpose and significance of the project
- How does the project align with and build on previous research/expertise? Does this research involve collaborators/co-authors? (information on collaborators)
- What contributions does this project make?
- Research questions or aims of the project
- Methods/methodology and research process/analysis
- A description of a specific funding opportunity and/or agency to which the applicant intends to apply — is this agency a good fit given project goals? If applicable, are there any other back-up alternatives to the main agency?
- If the identified agency specifically asks for a budget, please include it here (this will not count toward the five-page limit)
- Brief timetable for submitting future grant solicitation
Applicants who receive the fellowship will be required to share their experiences and/or research project at a future M600. A one-page update regarding funding status will need to be submitted by Nov. 1, 2024.
