First aid may be necessary during any emergency. If so, provide immediate aid within the limits of your training and capabilities.
If necessary, contact Emergency Medical Services at 911 as soon as possible. Always send someone to meet EMS and escort to the injured party.
AEDs
If an emergency requires an Automated External Defibrillator and you are properly trained, locate the nearest AED, and follow the instructions inside the kit.
Franklin Hall AEDs are located in the following areas:
- In the west stairwell near the 030 stack entrance
- In the east wing of the entrance foyer near rooms 106 and 114
- In the third-floor hallway near room 320
Radio-Television Building AEDs are located in the following areas:
- On the first floor near room 180
- On the second floor near the west stairwell
- On the third floor near the main elevator
Required in case of a student injury: Use this Office of Insurance, Loss Control & Claims form for injuries to students, visitors, and guests of all Indiana University-affiliated campuses, vehicle accidents, and for reports of damage to university property.
