If you are staff or faculty with The Media School, here is how you can purchase technology equipment depending on your needs.
IT-type purchases include items such as laptops, iPads, keyboards, workstation displays, etc.
CITRIS purchases should start with a CITRIS help request. CITRIS will be able to assess the needed item for functionality and compatibility with IU systems. If using a grant or research account, include the account number in the request, which will route to Director of Finance Katie Higgins for approval. Please note that this process applies to new purchases as well as replacements. As of November 2022, automatic replacement of devices on a four-year schedule has been suspended, but CITRIS will assess age and performance of your current device if you feel a replacement is warranted.
Equipment could include items such as microphones, tripods, video adaptors, etc. Start with Director of Facilities and Technology Jay Kincaid. We may have items available for loan to support short-term projects or other initiatives. Equipment for classroom use will need to be evaluated by The Media School tech team prior to purchase.
Equipment could include items such as sensors, gauges, etc. Your finance team contact can facilitate your purchase. See above for IT purchases.
