Using Outlook
Staff are asked to keep their Outlook calendars current to facilitate the scheduling of meetings and drop-in conversations. All Outlook calendars associated with IU staff are available for others to view; however, unless you provide someone with access to your calendar details, a viewer will just see blocks of time when you are “busy” or “free.”
MSCH staff are asked to post their planned PTO and remote work days on the shared MSCH-Staff Calendar. Add an all-day event with your name and the note “PTO” or “remote” or whatever label might be helpful to your co-workers. If you work a regular remote schedule (e.g. every Tuesday) and have a repeating calendar entry, don’t forget to update the calendar if your remote schedule changes.
Instructions to add calendar to your Outlook view:
Outlook for PC: Navigate to Outlook Calendar -> the Folder Tab -> right click on Shared or Other Calendars+ -> Add Calendar -> From Address Book -> search for “MSCH-Staff Calendar” and double click -> Click Ok.
Outlook Web App: Log into Outlook -> Click Calendar -> Click + Add Calendar -> Add from directory -> enter MSCH-Staff Calendar -> Pick the drop down to pick a calendar folder to add it to -> Click Add.
Mac Calendar: With Calendar Open, Navigate to Calendar -> Preferences -> Accounts (you may need to choose your account) -> Delegation -> Click the + to add -> Type MSCH-Staff Calendar and chose it from the options that appear.
Outlook for Mac: Navigate to Outlook Calendar -> Home Tab -> Open Shared Calendar -> enter MSCH-Staff Calendar -> Click Open.
