Annual evaluation of unit director
The Merit Review Committee reviews the Unit Director and provides an annual narrative report to the Associate Dean. The procedures for this review are:
- The Merit Review Committee Chair solicits feedback from unit faculty not on the Merit Review Committee regarding the Unit Director’s performance during the first week of February.
- These faculty have seven days from the solicitation date to respond.
- The Merit Review Committee takes into consideration both faculty input and the Unit Director’s merit review materials and composes a narrative assessment of the Unit Director’s performance to be submitted to the Associate Dean. The deadline for submission varies annually and is set by the Associate Dean.
