A home office tour

Since most Media School staff members are now working from home due to COVID-19 restrictions, you're probably no longer just a room away from your colleagues.

See what some of their work-from-home spaces look like.

"I’m in a little nook that overlooks the living room, so I can keep tabs on my two kids. They are old enough that they are fairly independent and let me work with minimal distractions. They may have a little too much screen time during the day, but we are enjoying more family time in the evenings – walking, playing games and watching movies." Emily Harrison, director of development and alumni relations
"My 2-year-old son Jackson has to share his playroom with me during the remote working period. It features a slide, basketball hoop, rocking lion and circus tent, as well as a desk." Audrie Osterman, digital content manager/editor
"Likes: It’s 38 steps from the downstairs fridge. At Franklin Hall, from my desk to the grad lounge fridge and the top floor’s fridge is 43 and 44 steps, respectively. Dislikes: Errors. Blunders. Disapproved documents. At Franklin Hall, there are at least five to eight people nearby to blame. Here... uh, yeah." Reed Nelson, senior assistant to unit directors
“I’d rather see my colleagues in 3D than 2D, but at least in my home office I can open the windows." Scott Feickert, director of administration and strategic initiatives
"What I like about working from home: the short commute, the dress code, singing and dancing with abandon in my chair, flossing my teeth in the middle of a meeting... What I don’t like about working at home: All the things that are great about being human when you are with other people. Oh, and being too close to the kitchen.  Sharon Mayell, assistant director and research associate of the Institute for Communication Research
