Amber Bertin started Monday as the Black Film Center/Archive archivist.
She previously worked as an assistant film archivist for the IU Libraries Moving Image Archive, where she worked on the Mass Digitization and Preservation Initiative. Before that, Amber was archival processing technician at Northeast Historic Film, a nonprofit moving image archive dedicated to preserving the moving image heritage of northern New England.
She has several years of experience as an archival projectionist, including projecting for nitrate film screenings at the Dryden Theatre in Rochester, New York.
