Field assistants’ expenses are covered by The Media School.

The Media School is looking for a field assistant for each of the following trips:

The course is focused on social science research about the issue, the history and trajectory of environmental communication in the U.S. and public opinion about it. Students also have the opportunity to do creative media projects about the topic. Students learn how national parks are managed from a communication and media perspective. Information about specific careers such as ranger or public information officer are addressed.

  • Travel to Mammoth Cave in Cave City, Kentucky
  • This trip will require the assistant to drive a university SUV from Bloomington to Cave City and back.
  • Monday, March 14 to Friday, March 18
  • Instructor: Jim Shanahan
